Possible sexual abuse????

by meme124, Jan 23, 2008 05:52PM
I was seen as a 2 1/2 year with what my surgeon called the most severe case of condylomata acumminata, or genital warts, that he had seen in this age group.  they were perianal perivaginal and deep anal.  My mom states that there were also bleeding and anal fissures.  I went through about 4-5 surgeries in half a year.  my mom does not have in condylomas, and has never had an abnormal pap smear.  i have four sisters none of which of shown any signs of this disease.  My father did have genital warts at the same time that i had mine.  Does this sound like sexual abuse?

Really I would need more information before I could give an opinion. Like how old were you when you were first diagnosised, and were you sexually active and even what were the rfirst signs, and what was the prognosis?

Sorry to say this, but if you were 2 1/2 years old and you contracted a sexually transmitted disease, the chances are very high that it was due to some kind of sexual abuse. Genital warts are transmitted through sexual contact (anal, oral, and vaginal) with an infected person. Warts can appear within several weeks or months afterwards. The virus is passed through skin-to-skin contact, but not everyone who's been exposed to the virus will develop genital warts. Consider getting some counseling from a qualified licensed professional who specializes in sexual abuse to help you sort this out. Good luck.

in my unprofessional opinion.... i believe that there was sexual abuse. agian unprofessionally in my opinion i believe ur father had sexual contact with you. seeing that you were so young u may not remember this.... but your mother should have put 2 and 2 together and pressed charges on him and had him taken away..... in my eyes there is only one exlanation, and if he had it and your mom didnt he had to have been chaeting on her and possibly in another state of mind
