something in drink

by anoel, Oct 29, 2009 09:10AM
I was at a party and was on a second "normal" 6 oz glass of wine. Within 2 minutes of drinking part of this glass I felt immediate dizziness. I was standing up while this happened. I actually loss consciouness while standing, fell without trying to break my fall. I was picked up and remember not feeling hurt or anything. My husband picked me up to carry me home and I got very aggessive and fought him. He took me home and within minutes I was sobbing and told him I had been drugged. I was very distraught. I went to bed and the next day I did not have a headache but believe me I still felt drugged to a mild degree. For the next 2 days I was "weapy" and could not stop crying. What do you think was put in my drink?

No because we have no clear evidence. I was wondering if it could have been something called GHB. street name liquid X or georgia home boy, scoop.
Anybody know about this?

To: everyone
Several years ago I was drugged as well.  This seems to be a common theme in clubs and at parties.  I have had to learn this lesson the hard way.  GHB is odorless and colorless....and can very easily "slipped" into your drink when you are not watching.  Never let any one bring you a drink you dont trust.  Dont let them Pour it for you, Nor leave your drink on the table.  NEVER turn your back on your drink....keep in in your hands and never TRUST it anywhere-------if YOU have even left it for a second....discard it and get another.   It can happen in an instant!!  GHB is extremely dangerous...and is known also as a date rape drug.  It can render the victim unconcious and without memory of events while under the infuluence of this drug.-----Sweetie, thank GOD your husband was with you, and that you had only had a few sips of it.
**MY** experience with it was as follows:  ((and it happened right in front of me and i didnt even know it)).  I let someone pour me a drink of champagne.......the fellow turned away from me (as if lookin like he did not want to spill the champagne as he poured it). It took much longer than two minutes tho( perhaps i do have a high tolerance for medication, and i do that is very true); however, on my way home (and YES *I* was driving---OMG!!!)))  The lines on the road started to cross.....i felt strange....yes drugged, drunk....I even had to close one eye to make it the rest of the way home.
When i arrived home....i felt the most tired and sleepy i have EVER felt in my entire life.  I passed out with a toothbrush in my mouth in a recliner.  A friend of mine found me, picked me up (apparently cuz most of that is really fuzzy), but he put me on the couch.  THAT is where i stayed -----passed out----- for THREE AND A HALF days!!!!!!!!!  I never moved......
I did something they called "carp" out.  Which can cause death...and is extrmemly dangerous.  THANK GOD i MADE it HOME........After i finally woke up----after the three and a half days (OMG).....i felt drugged....not myself......lethargic......and realized that I had probaby "carped out"----IE....stopped breathing...and actually DIED for a bit.  I dont know how long i did stop breathing....very unclear, but enough that my memory was effected.  The oxygen to my brain was cut off enough and long enough that i could no longer remember details to certain things...even IN the present.  MY friend that helped me to the couch----HE noticed the memory loss......and he also went to the bar owner and began to ask questions.-----the bar owner said that I ACTED drunk, even tho he KNEW that i had NOT had much alcohol to drink----- The bar owner also knew this was NOT the first time this had occured in his place of business.
Not long after that.......it was on the news that there were indeed "people" going around drugging ladies with this GHB----they finally caught them.
I worked in the club--------AND i saw MANY girls drugged.  ONE of them I witnessed, the paramedics had to come get her.  It was so sad.....she was sitting in a chair and could not move nor could she speak.  She sat there in a stare and drooling.  After a few days she was ok tho.
I dont know if this post has helped you any, but please be cautious............i am so glad that you are okay------and I am sorry for your experience.
With much peace and sincerity,
Lexxie

Time was when girls did not go out at night unescorted. Time was when girls did not go out with men they did not know (through work, family, school, etc.). Those were good rules. Women are natural prey. Women's lib misleads some people. It suggests were are the same as men. Yes, intellectually, we are, but emotionally and physically, we are not.  We have always to be wary. There are too many nuts out there. I am glad the two drugged women on this forum recovered. Others might not be so lucky. Watch out.
