Accutane and Differin

I am currently on a low dose of accutane (40 mg twice a week).  Can I use Differin as a topical once a day or does it interfere with the effectiveness of the accutane?

It will not interfer with the effectiveness of accutane, but may irritate your skin as accutane increases your skin's sensitivity. Topical treatments that dry or exfoliate the skin are usually contra-indicated with accutne for this reason. I have heard of a patient on a low dose of accutane being advised by his derm to use differin at night, but always check with your own derm before using anything else whilst on accutane. Could you get back to me regarding why you are on such a low dose, then i may have a clearer picture of your needs. Thanks, Eloise x

I wouldn't advise it...just adds to the dryness and discomfort.
