Accutane for 13 year old

I am 13 years old, and I have very bad acne. I've heard that accutane can cause long bone problems, is that true? And should I use it?

I think you are too young to use it but it depends on what your dermatologist recommends. There are SEVERAL side effects and they are suppose to go away once you stop taking Accutane but I believe that some may continue. I would say wait until 16 or 17. I didn't start until I was 25 and I do wish I would have used it younger but it have very adult side affects.

I had taken accutane and although it worked it is a SERIOUS medication!!!  I don't recommend it. I would change your diet and use organic/natural face washes first.  Try eliminating wheat, dairy, and all processed foods. Also I recommend taking a a probiotic, acidophillus.  This worked great for me as accutane did help and then came back 3 years later.  If you want more info on what I use I'd be glad to help as its has really worked and ive seen it with others too  Its also improved my well being.  ***@****
