Acne and Blemishes

Hallo Dr
I have a lot of acne on my face which started very recently and its cuasing a lot of dark blemishes on my face
I have developed uder eye circles also recently.I use Benzoyl peroxide wash and Akna-myte ointment for acne.
I have heard that Glycolic acid is very beneficial for acne as well as blemishes..Is yhis true..I have an uneven skin tone also?Will I be benefited form using Glycolic acid cream .Is it safe to be use along with Benzoyl peroxide wash.
Dr please help if you could suggest me another creams or medicines for the under eye circles , blemishes and acne it would be really great..

Hi. Using more than one topical acne treatment may result in irritation. If it is essential to do so, use one in the morning (eg benzoyl peroxide) and one at night (eg adapalene). Use a bland soap free cleanser such as Effaclar or Physiological Gel by La Roche-Posay, to minimise irritation.
Talk to your doctor about a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline 250mg twice a day, to kill acne causing bacteria on the skin. These can be used in conjunction with a topical retinoid like Differin (adapalene) or Retin-a (tretinoin).
Female acne patients will also benefit from taking an anti-androgen contraceptive pill like Diane35 or Yasmin. These block the action of acne-causing hormones on the skin. Avoid the progesterone-only pill, depo shot and hormonal IUD as these can make acne worse.
