Acne beneath skin without actual pimples

Hi, I had acne as a teenager.  I took Tetracycline and it went away.  The pimples at least.  I'm now in my 30's and I still have acne.  Especially the area on either side of my nose and my nose itself.  I could (sorry to gross you out) squeeze an area of pores and there would be "puss" for lack of a better word that comes out every time.  I thought it might be because I had dry skin and I used moisturizer all the time, that didn't work.  Thought I might have oily skin, but those measures didn't work.  So I'm at a loss.  It's kinda gross and it makes my pores look like craters (might be exaggerating).   Does anyone know a way of getting rid of all the oil and nastiness out of my pores so they can tighten up???
