Acne flare up

I have been using neutrogena acne cleanser and toner for years now and these products were working fine for me.  I would get an occasional breakout every now and then, but nothing too major.  Recently, I had read good reviews about the clinique acne solutions system and thought to give it a try.  My skin started to break out as soon as I started using the line, I consulted with one of the clinique representatives who told me that this would be normal as the products are bringing all of the "gunk" to the surface.  I continued to use the clinique products for a few more weeks and almost daily I would get a new pimple.  I could not take it anymore so I stopped using the products and went back to using my old neutrogena products.  Well, now I am still continuing to break out! I don't know why!  I thought my skin would get better after stopping the clinique products, but it hasn't.  Did I ruin my skin from using clinique?  I don't know what to do!

i suggest you not to use ANYTHING on your face for a while..let your skin relax for a while. I'm sure it'll regain its natural self and then you can start using neutrogena again. Your skin is best when its free of chemicals (good or bad). good luck!
