Hi. My son is nine and a half and has had acne for several years. Our GP refered us to an endocrinologist for hormone tests to rule out a premature puberty.
You may also be refered to a dermatologist who may prescribe topical Erythromycin and/or Differin (adapalene 0.1%). Oral antibiotics cannot be used until the child is 12 years old.
Eloise.
