Hi.
Over-the-counter acne medicines are of limited benefit compared to prescription meds.
Ask your doctor for a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline 250mg twice a day and/or a topical retinoid such as Differin (adapalene 0.1%). Differin is generally well tolerated, but if your skin becomes sensitive during use, try a bland cleanser such as Cetaphil, Eucerin or La Roche-Posay.
Eloise.
