i have really sensitive skin and have tried everything on my skin to get rid of my acne. i have been usng proactive for the past 3 weeks but i see no difference. is there any other type of treatment or medication available besides the over the counter medications?
Over-the-counter acne medicines are of limited benefit compared to prescription meds.
Ask your doctor for a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline 250mg twice a day and/or a topical retinoid such as Differin (adapalene 0.1%). Differin is generally well tolerated, but if your skin becomes sensitive during use, try a bland cleanser such as Cetaphil, Eucerin or La Roche-Posay.
Eloise.
