I've heard the bumps called Acne Cysts. I just can't seem to find anything to help my acne and I guess trying to hide it with makeup isn't really helping much. But I'll try this and see if it will help :) Thanks!
hi
my face had so much acne and i used proactive, antibioticss, acne no more pills, and so many other stuff, non of them helped, but recenly i started using DUAC cream about 3 month now and it really helps me and my ancens gone away and u need to put them once a day at night time when u going to bed ,it really helped me so much ,try that if u want and see how it works on your face.
Have you seen your doctor? I have jsut recently started using a treatment from the doctor called isotrexin. I apply the gel all over before i go to bed. It works in 2 ways, 1. It helps to unblock the face and prevent further blockages and 2. It contains an antibiotic which stop bacteria from being able to multiply so the skin can heal and if bacteria is present it shouldnt form into a big ***** lump!
Ive been using it for 1 week and i can see a difference, its definitely starting to clear up. I do have some skin dryness but not alot, i can cope with it. i apply a light moisturiser in a mornin to help with that.
If you havn't already tried it, i would give it a go.
As you have found, over the counter remedies are of limited benefit for more severe types of acne. You should see your doctor for a more effective treatment quickly, to prevent permanent scarring.
Acne responds well to a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline 250mg twice daily. A topical retinoid such as Differin (Adapalene 0.1%) will also help.
Female acne patients often respond positively to taking the combined oral contraceptive pill, since the Oestrogen it contains blocks the actions of Androgens- the hormones responsible for acne. If your doctor decides you warrant both oral antibiotics and the pill use a condom as tetracyclines may interfer with the contraceptive properties of the pill.

hope this helps :)
