Actuane.

I'm fifteen years old and I've decided to try Acutane. My sister and brother have had severe acne and I want to stop it before it gets that bad. My sister used Acutane and after she lost all of her acne she had severe scars. I don't want that, is that because of Acutane? Or just because she had acne for so long.
Any suggestions on how to treat scars if I do get them?

Hi. The best way to cure acne and prevent the associated scarring is to take Accutane. However, due to the numerous potential side effects, dermatologists will normally only prescribe Accutane if you have tried long term oral antibiotics and topical treatments and these have failed.
What remedies have you tried already and what were the results like? Topical retnoids like Differin or topical Isotretinoin are very effective.

Hey! Yeah i'm pretty sure its because she had acne for so long. I've taken Accutane as well and I also have scars. I had severe acne and it was bad for 3 months and i was seeing a dermatologist but he would not prescibe me Accutane so i had to look for another doctor to prescribe it to me. Anyways it did work but make sure if your brother and sister had it and chances are you too will have it. accutane is good to take to prevent that from happening to you .

Hey I have really Severe acne and my dermatologist was recommending it for me but there's this herb and it's called turmeric, by that and mix the powder with sesame oil or coconut oil and leave over night on ur face. It will cure ur acne or atleast make it alot better! Also u can take the turmeric health tablets which asists greatly in acne removal and has other benefits as well ;)
