Bad Skin! What to use?

I have combo skin (on my face) and often break out...all over my face, but normally it's confined to one area at a time.  I also almost always break out on my chest and butt... Which is really frusterating when you have a new boyfriend especially, haha.  I was wondering what to use--Do things like the Neutrogena acne skin clear body wash ever actually work?? what is better?? I cannot manage to get my skin under control--HELP!

Cleansing alone will not heal acne. Talk to your doctor about the various treatments available. A course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline or Lymecycline will kill the bacteria which contribute to acne. Topical retinoids such as Differin or Retin-A will address the abnormal skin processes invloved in acne. Female patients will also benefit from switching to a combined oral contraceptive pill containing oestrogen which will block the action of androgens (male hormones) in your body.
