Big Pimple..

Okay. I have this.. pimple, I guess you could call it. It's actually in my pubic area..

It's like.. pretty big. I guess you could say it's about the size of a thumb tack, you know those ones that have the flat head instead of the ones that are shaped more like a cylinder.

It looks like it has more blood than puss, but I can definitely see puss in there. Also, it looks a bit darker around the edges than anywhere else. It's not very painful, except when I touch it (it's very very smooth to the touch) and even then I just feel sort of a soreness for a few minutes.

I've been thinking of just taking a needle to it and stabbing it. Popping it like most people do is not an option.. because it's just too big and I think it would gross me out too much. I didn't do it yet because I'm not sure if it's really a pimple. I'm afraid it could be something more serious, and popping it could make it worse.

It's not like urgent to me (or maybe it should be?) but I'd really appreciate any type of answer/information on what do to about it.

Do not put a needle into any type of skin lesion as it could spread the infection and make it worse. If you are concerned don't be embarrassed to ask your doctor, they see things like that every day, xx

Well, really all I need to know is what it is I guess. Like.. does it sound like a pimple? Or something else? I don't know how to deal w/ the situation because I don't know what it is.

It is common to get pimples in your pubic area as there are a lot of hair follicles there and bacteria can breed easily there. What you're describing is unlikely to be a symptom of something more serious like an STD but get it checked out to put your mind at ease, always use a condom and don't share towels or flannels with anyone. xx
