Breakouts after benzoyl peroxide use

Does the face become dependent on benzoyl peroxide? I have used it for 3 years and decided to discontinue using it.
I am 24 so i figured I wouldn't need acne medication anymore. My parents dont have adult acne and my younger brother has good skin (he is 22). It has been 2months since I have used benzoyl peroxide and my face keeps breaking out and isnt clear. Like my face went how it was before I started using the product. How long does it take until my skin can take care of itself and the breakouts will stop? what natural remedies can i use to help control these breakouts?

hi i have had acne since i was 15 i am 25 now i have cystic acne witch i have just started strong medication 4 if any1 nos about spots its me and i have tryed everything going benzoyl p bleaches ur skin and causes premature ageing (aging) if it is little white heads u get then lots of fruit veg and water is good and quinodern facewash that u can buy from the chemist but if u have bad breakouts make ur gp refer u to a dermotologist
