Bump/Lump on lip that appears then goes away in minutes, what is it.

Hi, I sometimes get a small colorless bump on my lip, it comes up then it goes away in minutes or even an hour.. I get them maybe once a week or sometimes once a month, Now i have never had a coldsore, and always very careful with the herpes thing.
Just wondering if this is a reaction to something, my lips sometimes dry or cracked in the mean time.. Just thought that also may be a cause.

Hi there!

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of the lesion. Possibilities that may need to be considered include acne, comedone, folliculitis, ingrown hair, cyst, infections, inflammations etc. You may consider getting this evaluated by either a primary care physician or a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.

I too will get what you described. Its amazing how fast it will come and go. I havent figured out what is causing or triggering it yet. Just didnt want you to feel alone :).
