????Bumps/scars????

My boyfriend has these bumps on the back of his neck. Over the past 4 years they have grown. They aren't getting bigger but other little bumps are coming out around it. It is not red, it's the color of his skin pretty much and does not hurt. Anyone know what this is? Please message back as soon as you can- Thank you.
