Cause/Solution of recent breakout?

All my life I've had virtually flawless skin. I am very fair, and 96% of the time my skin is perfect, except for a few zits every few months. However, lately my skin is the farthest it could possibly be from flawless. All over my forehead are small bumps and blackheads and same with my chin (my chin and nose normally have small blackheads but now they cover my entire chin and same with the bumps). I do use face wash with some acne medication in it and shower daily. My hair is also hardly ever in my face. I'm not sure what caused this recent change, for nothing in my lifestyle as of late has changed. The only thing I can think of is I switched from using a sensitive skin face wash to the acne face wash, and I've read that sometimes the face wash can strip your skin and cause it to create more oils. However my skin was still this way beforehand. Does anybody have any idea of what it might be caused by or how to treat it? I am a 17 year old girl.
