Cyst pocket

I have a pocket from a former cyst on my nose.

-this pocket is approximately 3 - 4 mm deep and 5 - 8 mm in diameter

-once or twice a year, this pocket seems to become infected and fills with semi solid white or greyish white fluid.

-It has been an issue for years and now as I get older 36 is is getting worse.

Am I correct in thinking that a dermatologist may operate to remove the sac type structure ? or will laser surgery help?

This sounds like a pretty big pocket on your nose.  Like any "hole" on our bodies especially on our faces which are always exposed to the elements, I would think that it is more prone to infection.  We touch our faces with dirty hands everyday, etc.  Have you thought of some cosmetic surgery to close this pocket?  What has the dermatologist said about it?
