Doryx & Talconex

In your opnion, how effective is Doryx in treating sever acne over other tetracyclin antibiotics?  Also with Talconex how effective is this ointment in treating psoriasis over other psoriasis medications?

Please ask the dermatology forum about Talconex as I am only an expert on Acne.
Doxycycline may be more effective than first-line oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline. It will be even more effective if used in conjunction with a topical retinoid such as Differin (adapalene 0.1%). Using different topical and oral antibiotics at the same time is undesirable so a retinoid is a better choice.
If you are female the addition of Dianette (Diane35) to your regime may be helpful. Use a barrier method of contraception if you use Dianette and oral antibiotics together.
If these medicines result in failure or relapse you may be a candidate for oral Isotretinoin (Accutane/Roaccutane) the strongest acne treatment available.
