Emergencyyyyy scar helpppp

7878122?1334884504
I have this huge scar on my face, I have no idea how this scar began but it started growing into a line. It is a deep line, i am only 20. When ever i go outside I lose my confidence because I feel like everyone is starring at the scar on my face. Please help me, I really need some advice right now.

I have a picture attached to this, the line starts from the top of my eye and continues to my nose.
Your advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

For scars, I've tried silicone gel with great success. It can be found in drug stores. I'm sure it would be fine to use so long as you don't get it too too close to your eyeball.

*I know it's just a photo and might look different in real life, but I probably wouldn't have noticed it in the real if you hadn't pointed it out.

If you don't remember how you got this scar and it's growing, you might want to consider going to a dermatologist or general practitioner because it might not be a scar at all. It might be a burst capillary or something. Scars don't generally grown, unless they are keloid scars, which this one doesn't seem to be. Silicone gel, as far as I know, only works for scars.

Make up is always an option... you don't even have to do full-blown, you can just dab on a little concealer.

The thing is that I don't have insurance and it would cost a lot for me to see a dermatologist. Do you think I should buy neosporin and apply it on the mark. I hope it is not a wrinkle, I had a pimple on that very spot, maybe the line occurred because of the pimple, or can it be a pore line? I did put foundation on it, but it didn't reduce the visibility of the mark.

Neosporin is for healing wounds, and contains antibiotics so it wouldn't help you out here. There are much better options.

If you cannot go to see a doctor because of insurance reasons (and I am so sorry that that is the case; even if you can't see a specialist like a dermatologist it's just inhumane that people cannot access basic healthcare) I think you should then assume that this is just a scar/ hyperpigmentation. Treat it as a such and if it diminishes; if it does not, maybe save up to see someone. It doesn't really look like a wrinkle to me... but I'm thinking more along the lines of a burst capillary/a visible blood vessel, which many people have on their faces.

If you think it's a scar/hyperpigmentation, you could try Bio Oil which is about 10$ (I think) at Wal-Mart. Or use the silicone gel I spoke about earlier, or if you think this is more hyperpigmentation-esque, try diluted lemon juice (takes a while to show results, but is affordable). But, like I said, it could be something else entirely. You could try talking to someone at a healthfood store (place with whole foods and supplements) and ask what they think it is. I have found this genre of people to be very knowledgeable on many health issues. You could also try creating another post on a different forum to see if you can get a doctor to give you some advice. The picture is hard to make out, so maybe if you do re-post see if you can take a clearer one, maybe in natural light.

If this is in fact a light scar (not one with deep creasing or anything) then you could try covering it with a light concealer before applying foundation. This might cover it better. If it's slightly red, try a green concealer and dab a little on before you apply foundation. Green cancels red. If this is more brown... I'd probably stick with a lighter concealer than opting for green.

The green concealer should work out well if this is a burst capillary... If it's a bluish vein under your skin, go for a yellowish/orange concealer. The picture is hard to make out... but I suppose you can take what I have said and use it as you will. Good luck!

I tried bio oil for a month, and it didn't show any improvement in the scar. I massage my face everyday to increase the blood flow, but the scar just doesn't reduce. I really wish I had insurance, I work two jobs and I go to college, and I'm helping my parents out. If I save up enough money, I will try my best to go to a derm. I posted a new picture, it is clearer than this one. If you can do me a favor and look at it, that would be great.

I tried using concealer and foundation, but the scar is still visible. It gets frustrating because I feel like everyone just stares at my scar, I know as human beings we tend to be really harsh on ourselves, but this scar is just disturbing to look at.

When I am outside, the scar is really visible and it looks really deep, with/without makeup. When I am at home, I can barely see it.
