Excema

I have had excema variously diagnosed as 'nummular', 'contact' or 'mysterious'.  I was told in November 2001 that it was NOT communicable...but now my wife has it.  We have had our shingles shots, but it could be a similar virus-caused disease, since it involves muscle pain (mine in the gracilis & gastrocs/tendons...My wife in most muscles above the waist), but it does not follow nervous trunks.  Initially it was 'elephant skin' appearance and everywhere but the  hands and face.  With lubrication 2/3 times/day, breakout is sporadic and often only wild  itching around a pimple.  What do you think?  Now 8/31/2010
