Folliculitis or something else?

I have had this issue for years now, and I have been concerned off and on. I have been experiencing itchiness, and a bump (pimple like)white on top in my pubic area. Sometimes there's one bump and sometimes three in different areas of my pubic area at once. I seem to experience this after a long sweaty day, when I've been stressed, after or before my menstrual cycle. I find relieve after i thoroughly was, shave, or apply vitamin e to the area. This has been going on well over 10 yrs I would say, also well before I became sexually active. But I do have a history of being molested when i was about 10 -12 yrs old I'm 25 yrs old now. I've also been tested (urine) for STDs and have not been diagnosed with an STD. A couple months ago I went to the health clinic at school and the doctor suggested folliculitis but I want to be sure.

Hello, I've been having a somewhat similar issue. I rarely shave my pubic hair but decided to a couple weeks ago before I had sex. I didn't use a new razor and had a lot of hair. A day or so later I noticed several itchy red bumps all over in my pubic hair but none actually in my vagina. I picked at them and they seemed raw afterwards. These bumps have stuck around for about two weeks but I do pick at them daily. Could this be herpes?

I don't think either of you has an STD.  First poster I think it is just folliculitis or infected hair follicle or oil cyst.  

Second poster those are just shave bumps, not herpes.  Shaving is tricky.  I hear models use antiperspirant because it fights bacteria.  They also make products specifically to prevent shave bumps.
