Gential Acne?

My boyfriend has these puss filled- red and white colored circles in the creases by his genitals. They expand mainly in the creases on both sides and sometimes he'll even get them under his gentials as well (on the inner part of his leg). They have been known to get at least 2 inches long before. And they hurt him when he touches or cleans them. (esp. when they are full of puss and it won't pop)

I've been trying to get him to go see a doctor-- but he won't go.

Is this acne? Besides over the counter acne medications and OF COURSE seeing a doctor. What else could be done? Like changing his bath soap or laundry soap?

Hes a pretty hairy guy-- so we've shaved him and got him cotton briefs.
