Hard Deep Bumps On Forehead Hairline

Hard Deep Bumps On Forehead Hairline

I have had several bumps, four now, show up just below my hairline on my forehead.  These bumps are very firm, have been there for a couple of years now and appear to have no intention of going away.  The skin over them is smooth like the rest of my skin and the bumps are not sore at all.  I have several friends who are doctors that are all stumped, and I've also visited my family practitioner who gave me benzoyl peroxide and erythromycin topical cream but after several weeks of use I was confident that the cream was having no impact.  I have learned to live with these bumps, but they do irritate me and I wonder if they will ever go away or if I could have them removed.  No one seems to know what to do, please help!

Cystic acne can present as bumps for months or even years without ever coming to a head. Topical lotions such as Erythromycin are effective but you have to be patient. Some clinical improvement will be seen after 12 weeks of continuous use, with further improvement with continued use.
