Help!

by LovinMyGI, May 14, 2008 05:14PM
I'm turning 21 in June and I never had severe acne but the last few weeks its like my whole face except for my nose is covered. And right between my eyebrows there are several little acne bumps. I cant seen to find anything to help. I don't know what to use to wash my face or what medication to use. I guess I'm developing adult acne. It's awful. I can't go to the dermatologist. Any advice?

You don't need to see a dermatologist, your regular doctor can prescribe you an effective topical acne gel such as Dalacin-T or Duac gel or a course of oral anti-biotics. If you are female, changing to an anti-androgen birth control pill like Diane35 can help. Eloise x
