Higher dosage of accutane this time?

I started getting acne at the age of nine. For a while my face,chest and back where masked in acne. I have been through one cycle of acutane. It has been a year and my skin has began to break out. I believe accutane works I just dont think I was given a high enough dosage he gave me 30 ml. What do you think? after reading other post I believe others may have had the same experience(too low of dosage). My skin is allot better then it used to be but I still very visible acne ...maybe another round higher dosage?how much more? your thoughts please

Hi Heather!  I'm surprised you only did 30mg on your first time on accutane, they usually do 40-80mg depending on your weight.

In any case, low dose really does have the same benifits as higher, just with less side effects!  I'm on 10mg/day right now and it's amazing. Keeps acne away and no side effects!

Some derms are funny about how they prescribe accutane, but it doesn't hurt to ask or ask them to explain why they are giving you that dosage.  If anything, do the 30mg/day if you can!
