Holes on face

I am a 44 year old female who loves makeup. Approximately 3 years ago a hole appeared on my right cheek. It looked like an enlarged pore. It started off as a slight whole and then appeared  to get deeper. When I put my liquid base on it seeps down into the pore and looks like a blackhead. I hate it! Now at the age of 44 I have 3 more holes and 1 small one on my forehead. They are extremely noticeable and are making me very self conscience. I have always had oily skin and have been told they could be appearing from my face producing too much oil? If this could be the reason, what should I do? Is this hereditary?  My younger sister of 7 years just got her first hole on her cheek. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,

Hi, Clinique make a range of pore-minimising products which will reduce the appearance of large pores on oily skin. Applying these before your foundation will stop it from making them look worse. Clarins and Estee Lauder also make similar ranges, check them out instores or online.

Thank you for your quick response. I will check out the Clinique counter in the morning.
