I was just about to post a coment about how to get rid of scaring, but you bet me to it!!! Ummm well i don't really know but I think rose oil helps with scaring but am not sure, I am interested to see what people will say!
If the scars are dark spots, they will lighten with time. You can speed this up by using an exfoliant to increase turnover of skin... something like glycolic acid or salicylic acid (acne pads like Clearasil, etc.) or even have a professional peel done by a dermatologist. Lactic acid peels can be great, too.
What kind of scars are they? If they are pock marks (depressed, "ice pick" scars), the best treatment involves seeing a dermatologist for a laser treatment or injecting a filler under the scar to raise it. Sometimes dermabrasion helps, too. A peel might help... I would see a dermatologist and ask their opinion about this, or try gentle peeling agents (glycolic or salicylic acid toners or pads) at home to see if they help.

Good luck!
