Hi, first don't panic i got acne at 11 too. When you start a new skin care regime you may experience a "purge" where your acne gets worse before it gets better. The best over the counter remedy is Freederm facial wash and treatment gel available from drug stores. Dr. Murad products claim to have a 90% success rate but they are very strong so do not use if you have sensitive skin. The next step is to see your doctor for a prescription topical lotion such as Dalacin-T, Differin or Duac gel. He could also prescribe you some oral antibiotics like oxytetracycline or erythromycin. My son is 8 and has spots already, people grow up at different rates. I know it must be hard if you are the first one of your friends to start puberty but I know what that's like and am here if you'd like any more advice. love loiloi x

hi again. I just meant to say people can develop acne at any age. I got it at 11 and still have it at 31, although various treatment have helped it. My son is 8 and has had childhood acne for most of his life. Let me know which products you have already tried and i could maybe recommend some others. Prescription lotions and oral antibiotics should help you as they work better on young people than on late-onset acne. I have sound medical knowledge about acne treatment as well as personal experience of how it affects you. I'm always here if you do need any more advice love loiloi xx

Try Neutrogena Advance Solutions. I have had acne for years and it works great for me. It was even better than Proactive and a lot less expensive. Good Luck!!!
