Inflammatory Acne

Hi everyone,

I went to a dermatoligist because like every 3 month or i use to get a huge cyst around my cheek area. He right away put me on accutane but my acne get worse over the 7 months that i was on it... so he gave me another pill call prednisone over my last 2 month on acuutane and the cyst will appear to come back im the spots a little smaller any ideas??? Also, 2 month after my cycle I started getting the same cyts back in the spot !! so he prescribed me avar cleanser, differin,and 25mg dapsone. Only over like 4 weeks or so i still developing this huge cyst almost like (boils) on my cheek any idea??

Accutane results in total or excellent skin clearance in 80% of patients. 20% warrant a seond or third course.
The Prednisone is an oral steroid prescribed to reduce inflammation.
We would expect to see a clinical improvement from using Differin within 8 weeks, with further improvement with continued use.
Dapson was used before Accutane became available, and continues to be used when Accutane is not an option.
