Is there a liquid accutain?

by Neamom, Nov 01, 2009 09:05PM
17 year son has been suffering from cystic acne and with almost weekly visits to derm. for injections.  He has been on "liquid" antibiotics for last 8 months and has improved somewhat.  I think he's ready to try Accutain, however he has big problems swallowing pills.  Does Accutain come in a liquid form (I search web and seen some indication it does)?  Also, how big are the pills?   I have read that they should not be crushed.   He's tried all the tricks, applesauce, practices with peas, gummi worms chopped up, etc.   Any info. would be appreciated.

Hi. The size of Accutane pills varies with dose. So 5mg capsules are much smaller than 20mg capules. They are soft capsules which are a lot easier to swallow than hard capsules or tablets. Liquid Accutane is not commonly prescribed where I am (in the UK).
Eloise.
