Isotretinoin for oily face

Isotretinoin for oily face

I'm taking a daily dosage of 10mg of isotretinoin to deal with my VERY oily face (I am a 85kg male; age 19years old) for every 3 or 4 months. Then I take a break for one month and start again taking it for 3 or 4 months. That's the schedule given from my dermatologist. I want to know if that is bad for my general health and if it is possible to encounter problems with my oily face when I get older (because maybe my body will get used taking isotretinoin)

i reckon i used to take one too (also prescribed by my doc for my pimples, along with other products she prescribed to rub my face, including the ointment version), and really noticed the difference that my face hardly becomes oily.
but your dermatologist should be asking you some questions first before prescribing it to you.
you should be in a normal or good health condition or not taking anything else that would conflict it. Last night i was thinking of going back to my dermatologist (after 4 yrs), and out of nothing tried to check infos about isotretinoin on the net just to refresh myself:

and of course, avoid sun exposure if you're taking that.
