Kenalog Atrophy and Discoloration

In early February of 2011, I had a pimple injected with TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 10MG KENALOG INJ  (according to my records), the pimple healed and I was left with a little bit of a red dot, which is normal.  The skin around it had a blueish purple hue, but nothing too bad.  In about late March, early April, I started to notice the discoloration was getting worse and that a had an indent was forming.  By mid April, this indent could fit my pinky in it, and the discoloration was spreading.  My dermatologist told me it would heal on it's own in 6-12 months, but with upcoming weddings and the distress it was causing me, I had Restylane added to it, one syringe didn't even fill the entire thing.  I had a lot of bruising after, but it has gone down, but not completely away.  Now mid May, three weeks after the Restylane, I think I am back at square one, discoloration the diameter of a golf ball and my pinky can fit back into the area where the cortisone was injected.  Makeup won't even cover the damage that has been done. Is this permanent?  Could it take years?  Is there anything I can do to help my face look normal again?
