Lip Acne

I have white bumps in clusters (I think they are whiteheads) and scattered on the rim of my upper lip. They never completely go away. They don't hurt. They just feel bumpy when I rub my finger on my upper lip. They even lessen or get worse at times. They don't hurt, but they are everywhere on my upper lip. No treatment is helping. My dermatologist has no clue what they are. Does anyone know how I can treat them or what it is? I have had them for a long time. They never go away!

male or female? this may be what estheticans call 'pearls' - they aren't blisters, right? Have you tried to have one removed? or done so yourself? The m/f question is b/c I wonder if it is a reaction to lip products. Let me know.

I also have white bumps on my upper lip only. I think they are whiteheads. Only one has ever really bothered me & got a little bigger so I noticed it. I did squeeze it once & a small kinda hard whitehead? came out & now it is a smaller bump but still there. I don't recommend squeezing them because once I did & tore my lip & then had a scab for about a week. Maybe it is from wearing lipstick? I wonder why it is only the top lip?
