Make up after Accutane

So I have had acne forever and Im on Accutane now. My question is, After accutane do I have to wear all that Acne Free makeup? Can I wear the real stuff? I have been wearing neutrogena and all the non acne causing make ups. They are not as good as the regular ones. After accutane, do I still have to be careful about everything I use on my face?

Hi Rachel. After Accutane you are likely to be free from acne for a long time so shouldn't need make-up with anti-acne properties. Your skin may be sensitized for up to 6 months after finishing Accutane. I recommend Estee Lauder's Maximum Cover Foundation. It is non-acnegenic and gentle (can be used after operations etc) yet gives great coverage.
I also like Toleriane make-up by La Roche-Posay (available in liquid or compact form). Again this gives great coverage without irritating skin or blocking pores. Buy one of La Roche-Posay's make-up removers though as it is very long-lasting and won't wash off easily.
