Thank you.
My mom was prescribed Metrogel for acne not rosacea (although I know this is what it is commonly used for) and
it worked really well for her. I asked her why the Dr prescribed this and she said it was because she had tried most everything and still wasn't happy. I have the same problem too and it works very well at keeping those pimples & cysts away.
I am hooked on it because my skin never has a problem anymore and if I get a pimple it is tiny and it goes away with just using the Metrogel.
It keeps it from getting so big too.
I was pregnant in 2003 and used it then during pregnancy.
The OB Dr told me it was safe. But then later I found out it was not so I was still worried it could have had an effect on him.
I want to keep using it for #2 but I am worried.
Your doctor may consider Clindamycin to be a safer alternative.
Was acne treatment necessary during your pregnancy? My skin really improved when I was pregnant :) Eloise x
Metrogel is usually prescribed for rosacea, not acne.
