Molluscum Contagiosum

I have bumps on genitals for a month now, one which showed up a month earlier. There is a total of 6. One burst a week ago and has since began to heal.  Nurse at std clinic mentioned molluscum and pictures to match what I have. I asked if I should see a doctor and she said no that bumps would eventually go away on their own.  I noticed yesterday a lump underneath my ear.  I am assuming it's a swollen lymph node.  It is only one side and happened literally over night.  Could molluscum in the genital area cause one of my lymph nodes under ear to become swollen? And after a month of majority of bumps?

No, molluscum contagiosum over the genitals would not cause lymphnode enlargement around the ear. You may like to get the swelling examined by a primary care physician for an accurate diagnosis and management, if required.

Thanks for your response.  I have one questions if you can help me answer it.  I performed oral sex on another male 7 weeks ago, meaning the lymph node swelled around 6 weeks after incident.  Could this have cause a lymph node to swell? I am no noticing any other symptoms along with swollen lymph node.
