I have had non-stop outbreaks on my lips and around my mouth for about 8 months straight now. Started 12 days after kissing a girl who I later saw with redness/rash on her lips. I've had HSV bloodtests done 2mths, 3mths, 4mths, 6mths, and all were negative. I've had cultures done for both herpes and bacteria, all negative.
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!!!
Does anyone else have non-stop outbreaks that look like this?

With herpes ruled out, likely causes include folliculitis, acne, ingrown hairs etc. You could try keeping the region clean and oil-free at all times. Ointments containing benzoyl peroxide/ clindamycin along with vitamin supplements may also be helpful. If these measures do not seem to help, I would suggest consulting a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.
Thank you for your reply DrKaul. I have had minor acne for approx 15 year which I keep under complete control with benzoyl peroxide. I have never gotten acne on my lips or mouth area before this started happening approx 9 months ago. It all started 12 days after kissing someone who I later saw and she had some red swollen areas on her lip. I do not feel that it is simply acne as this is quite unlike any acne I have had before, it is accompanied by intense burning, itching, swelling, etc.
I have already been to a dermatologist who took another herpes blood test (approx 6 months after symptoms began) which was negative and a bacterial swab which was also negative. Her only response was that she didn't know what it was and did not know what else to do. Hence why I am reaching out to the community at MedHelp to possibly get some answers.
If you know anyone that may be able to shed some light on what is happening, please forward this along and I would be very grateful.
