OTC Products

by kennedydp5, Apr 26, 2009 09:56AM
can anyone please tell me their oppinion of what they think is the best OTC products for a clear complexion?

my skin is sensitive and is combination between dry and oily w/ some breakouts (not too terrible that i can't cover up w/ makeup but i'm nearing 30 and this is kinda ticking me off!).

i would love to be able to find a product that keeps your skin clear that TRUELY doesn't overdry your skin and TRUELY moisturizes but is still oil free...  is there even such a thing???  am i asking too much of a product?  i can't afford to buy a million different products to try to accomplish all the things my skin requires...  is it possible there is just one product...  a miracle product, lol?!?!

The only thing I have come across so far is Clinique.  It's the first product I've ever used that doesn't make my skin break out.  They ask you all the important questions in order to set you up with the right face wash, astringent and moisturizer.  It's pretty pricey but lasts a long time and my face has cleared up a lot just using it.  It's not where I want it to be but that's because I don't use it every day like I should.  If I did my skin would look great!

thank you.  i didn't even know clinique had a face wash, lol!  its been line 10 years since i've even been to a clinique counter!
i had to buy something at the store the other day so what i bought i'm giving it a try (clean and clear products).  i didn't have a big allowance to be working w/ at the time so i had to make do...  :)  i just can't seem to figure out what products are for what age group (or does it matter)  i'm not a teenager obviously, but i'm not looking for wrinkle cream either!  its all too confusing!

You're welcome.  I don't think face washes and creams have have age groups so to speak.  It's good for any age.  It just all depends on your skin type.  The only other stuff that seemed to work for me was Neutrogena face wash but it dried my skin out too bad.  I didn't know which was worse.  Acne or dry skin!  Good luck!  I know how you feel.  I'm 30 and it ***** still getting acne.
