Oily Skin Causing Acne? - Cure?

Hey Everyone,

Well I have Acne on my Face (I am a Teen) but I am trying to find something that may help me fight it. I have tried Proactiv and other types of Acne Medication, but I think I may know what is not helping…

A few hours into the day, around 11am, my forehead (where the majority of my Acne is) begins to be very oily…

I think if I was to able to keep the oil from my forehead throughout the day, this would reduce my acne.

Is there any good medication or Topical Methods I could use to terminate the oily skin on my forehead throughout the day?

Hey Cole!

To keep your skin acne free it is advised to keep it clean and oil free at all times. Avoid allergens such as dust and chemicals. Wash the face atleast 2-3 times a day with a mild soap and keep it adequately moisturized. You could use a mild toner to clean the skin as well. For mild acne one could use ointments containing benzoyl peroxide/ clindamycin; while for severer ones it is best advised to consult a dermatologist.
