Hi.

I was wondering, I saw that I have Acne on the base of the penis. From what I see it can't be popped but some can.. since they are situated in the root of the hair.  From what I remember.. they were there for a long time now.. but I am worried if they cannot disappear...  I am not Very sexually active.. but..

   I have two questions:

1.-  Can I do something to cure this pimples Crysts? (from what I read.. they
         might be Crysts..)

Read that I could use antibiotics.. but are there creams??

2.-  If I have sexual intercourse with someone I don't know very well..
Having this "pimples", does it make me more open to get STDS? (Of course
         having protection)??

I know that I could see a doctor about this.. (don't know if a Regular doctor would be it..) or a specialized one..

But from what I read.. this is common.. but I am curious to know.  please help.

Good question.  It's best to refrain from any and all sexual activity until you see a doctor.  If it's herpes, a regular family doctor only needs to see it while it's active in order to diagnose and treat it (no cure for that, unfortunately).  But sometimes glands on your penis (vulvas have them, too) act up in accordance to hormone flares and often to heat in the summer, and they appear in tiny white bumps, and goes away on their own.  Sometimes, if you manipulate your skin, you'd still see them anyway.  Do not pop any of them.  Since you say they're situated in the root of the hair, then it's not herpes.  Herpes occur anywhere.  It could be follicitis (sp?)... inflammation of hair roots.  Warm compresses helps, but go to a doctor.  If it's just a skin problem, the doctor can give you  meds or refer you to a dermatologist.
