Perennial Acne triggered by one time-course use of Triquilar

Dear all,
I am a 41 y old female. I never had children. I request answer or any info with regard to the following problem. I always had flawless skin even at puberty into adulthood.  At the time of my marriage (at 31 years), I was forced by my mean and ill-meaning, brahmin (would-be) mother-in-law to take a pill to postpone my period. I was then in India (two months later I came to the USA and been here since then) and I went to a Gyn and she gave me "Triquilar" for 15-20 days. I had NEVER before OR after this incident taken any kind of contraceptive pills. Soon after I finished the 15-20 day course, I started getting loads of acne- red inflamed and painful which always left dark pigmented spots. It continues till today and my once beautiful face is now full of acne and dark spots. I am very positive that the Triquilar upset my hormone balance. I suspect that some kind of permanent negative effect not only triggered the perennial acne eruption but also prevented my ability to get pregnant. I am so miserable and unhappy for having taken this medication forced by an ill-meaning, vicious mother-in-law. I am now approaching perimenopausal age, and  am depressed about this whole thing. Makes me want to tear apart the woman who forced me to take this medication. I dont know how to reverse the effect. My acne erupts throughout my cycle and never stops- and above all leaves dark black spots on my light brown (Asian-Indian) skin. Can anyone PLEASE tell me what can be done to correct it. Can I approach an endo specialist or OB/BYN to prescribe some kind of hormonal profiling test? Has anybody had a similar experience.
