Pimple

by worried29f, Jan 28, 2008 10:12AM
About a week ago I noticed, while showering a white pimple like bump on the inside of my labia majora with puss .where the hair stops. so I drained it.. It doesn't hurt or anything but it is there. I can feel it very easily with my finger and looking at it, it is just small round pimple. I think I am reading too much online stuff and now I am really worried as to what it could be and why it is there. I have never had any problems before and I am not s****ly active. Thank you in advance.

Hi. Don't squeeze or drain any skin lesion as this can cause secondary infection and make diagnosis harder. If you have never been sexually active this cannot be an STD. It is more likely this pimple was caused by an ingrowing hair. If you choose to remove your hair down below use a fresh razor each time. Shave in a lukewarm bath and use a good quality shaving gel like King of Shaves. Apply vaseline to the area afterwards.
Leave this pimple alone and i'm sure it will heal up. If you are concerned don't be embarrassed to talk to your doctor, they see this kind of thing everyday. In the meantime shower with perfume-free shower gel, don't share towels with anyone and pat the area dry after washing. I hope this puts your mind at rest. Loiloi xx

Thanks Loiloi but I recently noticed these small pimple-like things covering the entire insides of the lips of my vagina. They can be popped, and they are filled with a little bit of white pus. They are very small, but there is a lot of them. They do not hurt to pop. They do not hurt or itch, or ever bother me outside of the fact that I have no idea what it is. Please help..
Thanks!

you can get pimples anywhere on your body that has hair follicles or pores. If it becomes painful you might goto a doctor but if your not sexually active it shouldn't be anything to worry about. Popping a pimple anywhere on your body is the same as popping one on your face. The small pimple like things are ok too I'm not to sure what they are really called (if I really have to I can look up the name) but again nothing to be worried about. Pimples on your butt or genitals has to do with a pore getting clogged not really anything to do with how clean you keep yourself either. Maybe try wearing lose clothing at night and get a wash that is made for cleaning in sensitive areas.
