Pimples on my hands? HELP!!!

So I woke up a day ago and found a pimple on my finger... sometimes due to allergies I get one of those, small red with a burning sensation here and there... maybe on my forehead, etc... so I thought nothing of it... but later on that day I found one on my other hand... by the end of the day I had several in different fingers. Today most of my fingers in both hands have three to four small redish "pimples"... My hands feel a bit swollen. I had chickenpox as a kid so that's out of the question... could this be an allergic reaction? Something I ate? or could it be something that I should be worried about?
