Question about Medicine

Hi, I just got home from my dermatologist , and he prescribed me Doxycycline 100MG and Niacinamide 500MG.  He also gave me a sample box of Monodox and on the bottom it says Doxycycline Monohydrate Capsules, and the box has about 30 capsules inside.

I paid 10 bucks for the prescription total, but I check online the price for Monodox is really expensive. Why would my dermatologist gave me that really expensive box?

Last, I want to know what do you think of the medicine he gave me ?

For topical treating he told me to continue using Clindamycin Phosphate Lotion 1% and Benzoylz Peroxide 10% and stop using Tretinoin cream .025%.

Your dermatologist is obviously a good one, prescribing a good combination of topical and oral treatment. Drugs bought online are expensive as they may be offered to people who don't have prescriptions, and are probably being shipped from another country. Never buy medications from an internet supplier that does not require you to have a prescription. At best they may be placebos and you will have wasted your money, at worst they may harm you. Loiloi x
