Really bad acne

My boyfriend has really bad acne. We dont know what it is, he tried proactiv & a whole bunch of acne washes but none worked. His doctor even put him on medicine, but that didnt work either, so then we made him stopp drinking soda for a month && cut out alot of sugar && salt, && that didnt change anything, but he even kept no eating or drinking that stuff for a little bit longer & we noticed no change =/ what could he do?

I was in the same boat just a few months ago. I had severe acne. I was in a desperate state. I tried everything from over the counter acne washes, creams to acme prescriptions and antibiotics. You can also try Apple cider vinegar and apply it to your face in the morning.
