Red Bump/Knot on Lip

Ok...just over a week ago i popped a pimple on my upper lip. There was a long string like thing that came out of it (assuming its what is the equivalent to pus only it was "liquid-y") anyway it seemed fine until about three days later when a red knot like bump came up. theres no "head" it just there. it hurts when pressure is applied to it and is unsightly!!! Help!! What is it? Can i make it go away?

It sounds like a cystic pimple. THis is where the dirt, bacteria, and oil are under the skin and there is no head. You can try to apply a warm compress to bring the puss to the top, but it should eventually go away. You can also try an on the spot acne cream to help dry the area up. Good luck I get them all the time and they're painful!
