Red bumps on my fingers and palms

I have just started having a problem w/ this recently. It has never happened before. I am a 31 yr old, caucasian female, who lives in Florida. About 5 days ago, I woke up w/ a couple of small red bumps, about the size of a pen tip. One was on my thumb on my L hand and one on my middle finger, on my R hand (they are on the underside of my fingers). Then yesterday when I woke up, I had three more. On the palm of my R hand, and middle finger again. Now, when I woke up today, I have about 10 more that have shown up. More on the palm of my R hand, the same middle finger, pinkie on my R hand and ring finger on my L hand. They are not painful, unless touched (by picking up something, or opening a door, holding things) and it feels like a splinter/pins sticking in them. They don't itch... I haven't had any other symptoms or medical problems. I was just very concerned as to what this problem could be since so many showed up since yesterday. I've looked up pictures and none of them look like what I have... However, I don't think you would be able to see them if a picture was taken. They are very small and not red enough that they would show. Any clues about what this is, what causes it, what could treat it? I found a thread from 2008, with posts describing the same problems, but many just explained having the same problem and not knowing what it was... Visits to dermatologists with no results and many suggestions of other conditions, which I looked up all of and they are not what is wrong w/ me. I have been under stress for the last week and a half. A cousin, who was like a sister to me, passed away among other issues.

Hi there!

Well, without a clinical evaluation, it would be difficult to say what these spots actually are. Possibilities include warts, infectious rash, angiokeratoma, minute haemorrhages secondary to blood issues/ inflammatory conditions etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a dermatologist at your earliest convenience for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
