Im 23, I have had what is considered mild acne since i was 15...I have been on every med under the sunActinic keratosis Fontanelles - sunken Liver spots Sun protection Sunburn Sunburn first aid Sunken fontanelles (superior view), excluding accutane. Im on Yaz birthcontrol, my acne got worse..Im just so lost anymore, i shouldnt have acne at 23 years old and its very disapointing to know that everything they prescribe does not work! I have been on retina for 6 months, although is cleared my faceFace pain slightly..I still have acne, Now they prescribed me differin 0.3. Does this work better? Is there something else? Ive use benzaclinBenzaclin Benzaclin with pump with retina and nothing works! I dont feel that i have acne bad enough for accutane. Whats next if differin doesnt work? If i dont have severe acne why is it so hard to get rid of???
Differin is considered to be one of the most effective and well tolerated topical acne gels. I recommend Diane35 birth control pill ahead of Yaz.
You may be a candidate for accutane if your acne has not responded to a fair trial of other medications including oral antibiotics. The severity of acne has a lot to do with its persistance and how it affects you psychologically, not just the number of lesions.
You're not alone, I'm 32 with acne. After relapsing after accutane I'm now on Diane35, oral oxytetracycline and topical Differin. Check out my journal and pictures :) Eloise xXx
Thanks for the info...I do have very low self esteem becasue of this...Like i said, I always thought becasue my acne is considered mild, that accutane wasnt for me...My brother had severe acne and he was on accutane..The side effects were so bad, im scared to take it myself..For him it cleared his face up really well. he relapsed 3 years later.
