Retinoid Rash?!

Retinoid Rash?!

I've been trying the samples the derm gave me of various creams.  Differin, Tazorac, Retin A - and I'm finding myself getting way worse.  I now have tons of little red pimples and a flat red rash along with them.  Is this just a "getting used to it" phase?  It's pretty itchy too.  Should I hang in there?

Use one product for a longer period, rather than sampling each one as it is more likely to be the combination of products that is causing the rash rather than an individual one. Of the ones you mention, Differin has been found to be the most effective by dermatologists.
Are you still planning to start a course of Accutane? Do not use topical acne gels whilst on accutane unless your doctor advices it, as your skin will get very sensitized. Just use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser like the ones by either Eucerin or Roche-Posay. Loiloi xx
